Garmin does not allow third party apps like the Converge App to selectively sync only steps data. If you require more granular controls, consider syncing your Garmin App to Google Fit, then sync Google Fit to Converge where you can control what specific data to sync. To do this, you would need to share data between Garmin and Google Fit in the Garmin App (we do not provide support for this).
