If your activity data from your Apple Watch, iPhone (built in pedometer) or third-party device connected to Apple Health (like Garmin, Strava, Coros etc) is not syncing data, you may need to review some of your Apple Health and Privacy settings. This guide will help you review these options.
Review each section of this guide and cross check it with your device.
Check Apple Health data sharing permissions
The Converge App relies on data provided by Apple Health - this section of the guide will help you check Apple Health data sharing permissions which may have some restrictions preventing data sharing.
Open the Apple Health App (Health) . If you can’t find it, go to the App Store and search for Health to re-download it
In the Health App, tap the “Sharing” tab from the bottom menu
Scroll down and tap “Apps and Services”
From the list of Apps and Services, tap “Converge”
On the permissions page for Converge, either tap “Turn on all” or if you only want to share some data, ensure at minimum you’ve selected “Activity”, “Steps”, “Stand hours” to ensure your data is included for the Move challenge.
Check Motion & Fitness privacy options
If you are using your iPhone as a pedometer, you’ll need to make sure your iPhone has permission to collect motion data. You may have turned off this feature in the past, which in-turn prevents iPhone from sharing steps data to the Health app and Converge App.
On your iPhone, open the Settings App
Scroll down to and tap “Privacy and Security” or “Privacy”
Scroll down to and tap “Motion & Fitness”
Ensure Health is turned on
Check the Converge App has syncing to Apple Health on
Open the Converge International App
Tap “Profile”
Tap “Settings”
Tap “Health App”
Check that “ iPhone | Watch” is connected- it should say “Disconnect” next to it if it’s connected - if not, tap to connect
Tap “Next” to save these changes
