Do other activities count as well?
Of course! We want to put a spring in your step, be it through dancing 💃, tennis 🎾, swimming 🏊♀️, cycling 🚴♀️, trapezing 🤸♂️, or extreme ironing 👕 (look it up, it’s a thing).
Here’s how it works:
If you have connected a fitness tracker to the app, your activities that involve stepping (e.g. walking, running) will be converted into steps by our data nerds 🤓. You don’t need to do anything else but sync regularly.
If you have some exercises that involve zero or little step counts (e.g. Yoga, Swimming) or inaccurate step counts (cycling) you can use the manual workout log accessed from the Activity rating screen. Your activities from manual exercise entries will be converted to steps, if you have provided your gender, age, weight, and height as we need those data points to estimate the steps conversion from your workout.
If you haven’t connected a fitness tracker to the app, you can enter all of your activities via the manual workout log.
You can manually enter your workout through the Dashboard section of the app to make sure you get your fair share of steps.
Select ‘Activity’, and then choose ‘Manual workout log’.
Click on the ‘+’ sign to add your workout
Choose whatever workout you have done (e.g. a bike ride, a walk, Pilates, etc.) and enter all relevant details.
Our clever data team will convert that into steps, and you’ll be bounding along to your next destination.
