Syncing data from Mi Fit app to Google Fit

The Converge app does not natively support syncing directly from Xiaomi Mi app (and it’s wearables) however we do support any wearable and it’s app/service that syncs data to Google Fit.

Important Information:

Xiaomi does not officially support syncing data to Google Fit. The instructions below are a work around for this using known steps that may work. Contact Xiaomi to provide feedback to support industry standard data sharing to services like Google Fit or Apple Health if you have issues with these instructions.

Part 1: Sync data from Xiaomi to Google Fit

Sync Xiaomi Watch 2 (operating Google WearOS)

  1. Download and setup Google Fit on your Android smartphone, this may require providing personal information like height and weight to provide correct aggregated data

  2. Then, setup the Google Fit app on the Xiaomi device

  3. Then, sync Google Fit data to the Converge App: https://convergeintl.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CSC/pages/302284835

Sync Mi Fit to Google Fit (any device not operating Google WearOS)

For Xiaomi devices not running Google WearOS, you can optionally follow these steps. Remember, Xiaomi does not officially support industry standard data sharing with services like Google Fit - as a result, you may need to manually sync data frequently.

You’ll need to ensure the Mi Fit app is setup and your personal profile is also setup, otherwise data synced will not be accurate.

You will also need to ensure you’ve downloaded and setup Google Fit, which may require some basic statistics about you to determine accurate data calculations.

  1. Open the Mi Fit app and tap the profile button on the lower right corner.

  2. You’ll be taken to an overview of your account, the devices that you have paired with Mi Fit, and other settings you can adjust

  3. Scroll down and tap “Add accounts”

  4. When presented, tap Google Fit, then confirm

After following the above steps, open the Google Fit app and you should start to see activity data sync to Google Fit from the Mi Fit App.

Part 2: Sync Google Fit data to Converge App

Sync Google Fit to Converge International App

The Google Fit app is a single source of data for other fitness and wellbeing apps and services to view and write data to. After establishing a connection between the Mi Fit and Google Fit App, the Converge International App should be able to access data from Mi Fit via the Google Fit App.
